“Iconic Photographs from the 1950s and 60s” by Salford and Cheetham Hill In Focus has just been printed. You can collect you FREE COPY from Langworthy Cornerstones Community Centre. Why not coincide your visit with our Drop In sessions every Friday afternoon in September to chat about the photographs with Project Coordinator, Lawrence Cassidy. If you can’t make those times, then have a look at our Whats On section to see where we’ll be over the next few months. Or, if you need a copy posting out to you (with a small donation for postage) send us your details on the comments form below.

There are 60 pages to browse through, featuring some highlights from our archive collection. The images showcase many different aspects of life in the post-war period and are grouped into categories such as Shops and Businesses, Street Scenes, Schools, Dance Halls, Fashion, Migration Memories and much more.

Cornerstones is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The address is 451 Liverpool Street, Salford, M6 5QQ.
