We will be at St. Clements Church  for the Heritage Open Day weekend (13th-16th September) talking to people about the social history of the area and also memories of the ‘Ordsall Peacock’, a bronze statue formerly located in the grounds of Ordsall High School in the 1950s.

We are also currently celebrating  the 25th anniversary of  the ‘Lighting the Legend’ lantern parade, which takes place on 9th November in Ordsall and is 25 years old this year. The year 2018 is also Ordsall Community Arts’ 40th birthday – so there’s lots to celebrate locally.

Come and join us and have a look through some of the images we have about those times, and if you have any photographs or memories you’d like to share with us we’d love that too. Heritage Open Days are all about celebrating the areas buildings and memories of the area for everyone to share. Opening times:

Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th September, 1pm-4pm, St. Clements Church, Groves Avenue, M5 3QW
